Kaliann Transport Services
The service
provides community transport assistance in Albury and the Shires of Culcairn,
Holbrook, Corowa, Hume and surrounding regions. This division has a long
history in providing special transport needs in these regions and concentrates
on the needs of aged/frail care, disadvantaged, disabled and isolated
transport demands. Transport is provided by a modern fleet of vehicles
including Station Wagons as well as buses and Special need Transport vehicles.
Clients include HACC subsidised transport consumers, CTP defined clients
and Departmetn of Transport certified client groups.
General Transport.
This service provides access
to transport facilities for a diverse range of consumers in the client
groups located in Albury and surrounding districts. This includes rural
base transport provided on a needs basis and transport disadvantaged.
For a range of purposes including social, recreation, health and community
integration.
Health Related Transport.
Specific one-off
health related transport and Department of Veteran Affairs requirments
are serviced by a range of vehicles and volunteer drivers using privately
owned vehicles. Subsidy funding is available from Greater Murray Health
Service and Department of Veteran Affairs to cover costs.
Aged/Frail supported group Transport.
A recent initiative
is the development of a supported transport program that can be accessed
by groups of consumers with similar needs e.g. garden tours, christmas
light tours.
Special needs and supported transport.
Wheelchair
access transport needs are provided by special buses with hoists and wheelchair
restraints.
